Bigelow does it again!

Kathryn Bigelow has done it again, this time, at the BAFTAs, held yesterday in London.

Her feature "The Hurt Locker" won six BAFTAs awards, including Best Film and Best Director.

The mega bock buster "Avatar", directed by Bigelow ex-husband James Cameron, won two awards (one being the self-explanatory, Best Visual Effects).

The BAFTAs are definetly not a 'taster' for the Academy Awards, but it's been clear that "The Hurt Locker" has been consistently gathering acclaim and awards along the way.

What ome cannot fail to mention, is the outstanding contrbution Bigelow has made to the live of all female film makers everywhere, in more ways than she might imagine. If there was such an award, that would also be definetely hers.

Welcome!

In this blog I intend to do some historical justice to the many, many women who have contributed with their genius, creativity, adventurous spirit, nurturing - amongst other qualities - to the apparent linear and male dominated prescribed notion of History. This is just the beggining.
